Empower STEM Teachers

by creating opportunities for professional development, capacity building and support, and by connecting teachers with community partnerships that enable a diverse array of STEM-related engagement.

Professional Development

will enable teachers throughout the region to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to transform the educational landscape. These professional learning opportunities will help our teacher become empowered to work with community members and a variety of STEM resources to help sustain growing STEM Culture.

Capacity Building

by giving instructional staff the opportunities to obtain knowledge and develop the skills, tools and resources necessary to increase the level of competency around various proven models of education (Experiential Learning, Constructivist Teaching/Learning, and Design Process Thinking to name a few) and to enable processes that will allow the ability to develop shared leadership models in their schools.

Teacher Support

structures that enable a systemic approach in creating the scaffolding needed to support teachers who are engaged in new approaches to teaching and learning. By building connections with resources throughout the community to support the development of meaningful STEM-related experiences. And will create connections to  "learning-lab" opportunities for teachers to learn from one another in an immersive approach.

Connecting to the Community

helps to engage the learner in authentic experiences that expose students to a wide array of STEM-related opportunities in which they can work side-by-side with, and learn from, industry professionals. These experiences will help increase interest in STEM-related fields and provide opportunities for a school-to-work pipeline.
